  1. No it isn’t a good choice. They give search preference to YouTube. Switch on your phone’s kb/s viewer and see for yourself. It jumps from almost nothing to hundreds as soon as you switch on YouTube.

    1. Not sure I understand what you mean by search preference. Do you mean that their router QoS ships with rules that prioritise YouTube traffic?

    2. @Broadband Savvy Yes, that’s exactly what I mean. I do not believe that Sky/Now are following Net Neutrality guidelines.

  2. You forgot to mention another major disadvantage of Now Broadband is the router is supplied with only 2 Gigabit Ethernet ports! Most providers have 4 Gigabit Ethernet ports. They have no other router choice with 4 ports. That put me off from subscribing to their service even though it is quite cheap at £20 a month.

Also the 63Mbps on FTTC is the average speed. The speed goes up to 80Mbps if you are relatively close to the cabinet.

    1. Good point, we’d agree that the standard router is definitely a weakness of NOW Broadband at the moment.

  3. Looks like fixed wired broadband is better in india than in uk. U get symetric download upload speed in india

  4. Guy’s so lethargic! On the upside the info is great and this has now become my new go-to YT video to help catch me some zzzzz!
